Our Plans and God’s Plans
February 12, 2025
As a church committed to praying for one another, we post this daily reminder we can all use for that purpose. It contains a link to the “Our Daily Bread” devotional and a prayer inspired by the passage on which today’s devotion is based. We hope you will find both helpful. We also encourage you to read the “Bible in a Year” passages so that by the end of this year you will have read the entire Bible.
Today’s Our Daily Bread is Our Plans and God’s Plans
Considering Isaiah 55:8-12, we thank You for the reminder, Heavenly Father, that Your thoughts and ways are higher than ours by magnitudes beyond the expanses of the heavens above the earth. We rejoice in what we can know that You have revealed in Your Word that yields fruit and will not return to You empty but will accomplish what You desire and achieve the purpose for which You sent it. We cannot thank You enough for the fruit it has produced in our own lives as we have been reborn, taught, and empowered by Your Holy Spirit. May we be those who faithfully share Your written Word, the Scriptures, and Your Living Word, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with great joy and led forth in peace knowing that as we do so Your creation rejoices over those who will as a result find joy and peace in Him in Whose Name we pray. Amen.
Bible in a year: Leviticus 13; Matthew 26:26-50
