As a church committed to praying for one another, we post this daily reminder we can all use for that purpose. It contains a link to the “Our Daily Bread” devotional and a prayer inspired by the passage on which today’s devotion is based. We hope you will find both helpful. We also encourage you to read the “Bible in a Year” passages so that within a year you will have read the entire Bible.
Today’s Our Daily Bread is Good Grief
Considering 2 Kings 2:7-14, we thank You, Heavenly Father, for the mentors You have provided who have served as sterling examples of fidelity to You as disciples of Your Beloved Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Please grace us with wisdom to put into practice what we have learned, received, heard, or seen in them that will glorify You and Him in Whose Name we pray. As we follow His example of sacrificially walking in the way of love, may we also be those who with integrity encourage others to follow our examples as we follow the example of Christ Who loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to You. Amen.
