No Ordinary People
June 18, 2025
As a church committed to praying for one another, we post this daily reminder we can all use for that purpose. It contains a link to the “Our Daily Bread” devotional and a prayer inspired by the passage on which today’s devotion is based. We hope you will find both helpful. We also encourage you to read the “Bible in a Year” passages so that within a year you will have read the entire Bible.
Today’s Our Daily Bread is No Ordinary People
Considering Titus 3:1-11, we thank You for the reminder, Heavenly Father, that we are to be subject to rulers and authorities, obedient and ready to do whatever is good; to never slander anyone, but rather always to be peaceable, considerate, and gentle toward everyone. May we be those who categorically renounce and reject the malice, envy, and hate in which we lived when we were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We pray that our lives will overflow with praise and thanksgiving to You for Your kindness and love as our God Who has saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of Your mercy, through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit Whom You poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by Your grace, we might become heirs together with Him and each other, having the hope of eternal life, and devoted to doing the good that is excellent and profitable for everyone to the praise of Your glory and His in Whose Name we pray. Amen.
Bible in a year: Nehemiah 10-11; Acts 4:1-22
