Unexpected Interruption

As a church committed to praying for one another, we post this daily reminder we can all use for that purpose. It contains a link to the “Our Daily Bread” devotional and a prayer inspired by the passage on which today’s devotion is based. We hope you will find both helpful. We also encourage you to read the “Bible in a Year” passages so that within a year you will have read the entire Bible.
Today’s Our Daily Bread is Unexpected Interruption
Considering Acts 16:16-24, please deliver us from the temptation, Heavenly Father, to make what we might or might not get in return the criteria for deciding whether and how to address the taunts of our adversaries. As Your servants who are proclaiming the way to be saved by virtue of the Gospel of Your Beloved Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which is Your power unto salvation for everyone who believes, may it be in His Name and to the praise of His glory that we confront those who oppose us. Please grace us with faith, patience and perseverance to accept whatever the personal consequences of identifying a demonic stronghold, trusting Jesus to extricate the source, and rejoicing in the deliverance of the victim. Amen.
